2 Gift Ideas For The Hubs

By on March 25, 2017

I can’t wait for my husband’s birthday this year. In previous years I have been so nervous. It’s so hard to select a gift for somebody you love. I love him a lot, but that does not mean that I always know exactly what to get him. Right now, I am considering two things: 1) I was browsing around on Survival cooking, who seems to give VERY WELL-WRITTEN reviews about a bunch of products for the outdoors. Those of you who know me and my hubby know that he is all about the camping and outdoors-y things. He loves tailgating, camping, and all the things like that. So I could get him a grill, a stove, a BBQ, something like that. Maybe a tent. OR 2) On the polar opposite side of things, I began looking at the best watches under 500. I know he is not the type to wear fancy things, but I think he would love to have a fancy accessory for classy business events, christmas parties, weddings, meetings, and things like that. He often tells me he feels like a bit of a slob because he doesn’t have anything nice– but then he never buys himself anything nice! The way I see it, sometimes you have to buy your people the thing they won’t buy themselves! I think that is what separates a truly GREAT gift from one that is just nice and good– you know? The fact that it is something that a person doesn’t even REALIZE that they ACTUALLY really really really want! Maybe I am overthinking it, but I think it is important to care about what we give to our loved ones. It is one of the special things in life that we really should not take for granted. I love him lots and hope he loves the gift! — Good thing he never reads my blog!!

Spontaneous Things – The Best in My Life

By on March 15, 2017

I was coming back home from the office. It was a hard day and I’ve got tired a lot. My friend Kate called me and invited me to a BBQ party. Oh, thanks to the God, my prayers were heard. I have been dreaming about this for a long time and, finally, I was going to have a pleasurable time with my friends.  Anyway, I would go somewhere, because I was tired of city life and wanted to have fun with close people. Now I have such wonderful opportunity.

First of all, she asked me to help her with decorations, because I am well-versed with design. She has a Adirindack Cottage with a huge garden around, so there could be lots of interesting and creating ideas. The house was already styled and look great, but some features were missing, such as beautiful chairs and tables. Without any doubt,  we started looking for Adirondack chair. We were offered a wide variety of furniture in the Internet and couldn’t stop on only one product. However, Leigh County Adirondack Chair seemed to be the most suitable in our case. It was made from the cedar and was presented in a white color. What is more, these new chairs are extremely comfortable and my friend was delightful.  Even the price is low, the quality is  still the best and I am sure they will remain the same after years of using.

Did you know?

The first Adirondack chair was created in 1903 by Thomas Lee, during his holidays in the Adirondack mountains in New York state. Typically, they were made from 11 flat, wooden boards, and the final product would include a flat backrest, as well. Now, the back is often (but not always) rounded, but the original spirit of the Adirondack lives strongly in these innovations, and in many other chairs that are based closely on its design.

When we finished redecorating our house the party has started.

My neighbors could hear the loud voices of my friends. The smoky smells of the food seemed to have spread and we breathed in the delicious aroma of meat and spices.

Unfortunately, the heavy rain prevented us from playing outdoors. We left our new furniture under the rain and my friend was afraid that something could happen with them. But she shouldn’t have worried, because those chairs were waterproof.

In the end, that event changed our lives. No one can deny, this party was amazing and we will have the same party in the future!
