Name: Lisa Nicole
*I go by Nicci when I am online
Bio: I have adored books for as long as I can remember. Growing up my mom always read to me and my sisters, and I think that’s what really fostered my thirst for reading. Anyway, I spent most of my teenage years reading Christian fiction, mostly romances, but I have completely fallen in love with YA fiction in the last few years. When I’m not reading, online, or watching TV, I spend my time working (fast food restaurant) and going to school (majoring in Communications). In the summer, I also try to participate in some form of theatre. This year I am involved in a local production of A Year With Frog & Toad.
I have also spent many hours of my life writing. Growing up, most of my writing was focused on writing various plays and productions (a few of which were performed by an amateur theatre group my sister and I created for various charities). After I stumbled into the online world, I began writing a lot of fanfiction, which eventually evolved into writing my own stories. Those can be found here, if you are interested, please don’t judge. They’re old. More recently I participated in last year’s National Novel Writing Month, but I failed miserably. I have a horrible lack of discipline. Now I occasionally write a story that has the working title of Assassins, and I am working on co-writing a story along with my sister. I do not have any plans, as of now, to actually become an author professionally, it is something I do more for fun. My hopes for my career are for something behind-the-scenes in the fields of publishing, theatre, or film.

About the Blog: I have been blogging and site building since October 2006. My first sites were on freewebs and were for various stories/poems my sister and I wrote. I then went on to create a personal/fanart site for myself, which has gone through various incarnations. It is now Scarlett Moon, which I still update on occasion. In January of 2011, I stumbled across The Story Siren. Before that I had, had no knowledge of the world of book blogging. Needless to say, I was completely captivated by what I found. I was so excited to find all these people who seemed to love books as much as I did. Anyhow, I wanted to participate in Kristi’s Debut Author Challenge, thus Paper Dreams was born. Since then I have fallen in love with book blogging and I hope to continue to improve Paper Dreams.
